Aside from giving us a date and time, the company also teased that we would be getting a sneak peek at some 8th generation Intel Core based systems, and that the chips themselves, as well as devices based around them, would be available in the holiday season or even earlier. Intel has introduced its latest Core Ultra 200HX Plus mobile processors, targeting gamers, creators, and power users who need top-tier laptop performance. The new lineup includes the Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and Intel Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus, both designed to push performance further within the existing Core Ultra 200HX platform. Compared to older chips like the Intel Core i9-12900HX, gains can reach up to 62% in gaming performance. Systems powered by the Intel Core Ultra 200HX Plus series are already rolling out from major OEMs including Acer, ASUS, Dell (Alienware), HP, Lenovo, MSI, and Razer starting March 17, 2026. Intel has announced its new Core Ultra 200S Plus series desktop processors, which include the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and Core Ultra 5 250K Plus. Intel said the processors will start at $299 for the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and $199 for the Core Ultra 5 250K Plus. Powering the Rimbook S1 is up to a 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13420H processor, paired with 16GB LPDDR4 RAM and a 512GB SSD, expandable for additional storage.
