The most noticeable addition is a built-in network speed test. The test opens in your default browser and checks Ethernet, Wi-Fi or mobile data speeds. So one of the most anticipated stuff I had to check out when I arrived here in Japan is their broadband internet speeds. After having problems with the (absence of a) LAN port in my Macbook Air, I fired up the browser and checked my internet speed. South Korea has been on the top of the list for having the fastest broadband internet in the world for the longest time. So, the very first thing I did when I got here was test their internet connection. *hehehe* You never really get your actual subscribed speed, even if you have the world's fastest broadband connection. I was able to position on a location that gives me 4 or 5 bars on the signal meter and tested the bandwidth using 2Wire and Speedtest.net: Based on the two tests, the service can do the 512Kbps it promises.
