#iOS 16 public beta

Apple just released the first iOS 16 public beta for testers. The public beta for iOS16 is still rolling out, so it’s still not available to everyone, but make sure that your device is compatible (check out below for the compatibility list). Aside from iOS 16, there’s also a first public beta for iPad OS 16, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and HomePod software 16 so we have more than a handful to try out in the beta version. Here’s Apple giving caution when trying their public beta: The Apple Beta Software Program lets users try out pre-release software. Please note that since the public beta software has not yet been commercially released by Apple, it may contain errors or inaccuracies and may not function as well as commercially released software. Apple has released the second developer beta of iOS 27. It brings several new features and refinements ahead of the public beta launch in July and the official release later this year. Apple dropped iOS 27 beta 1 right after the WWDC 2026 keynote, and yes, the new Siri AI is in there.
