The much-awaited update to iOS4 is now available, ahead of the expected March 11 release date, with the promised "personal hotspot" feature making your iPhone 4 a mobile WiFi router (like the Huawei E5). Apple today officially announced the next version of their popular mobile operating system, the iOS 5 which will be available to you iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch this July. iOS5 also introduced iMessage, Newstand, Reminders, multi-tasking gestures and Airplay mirroring (for iPad2). Check this keynote video of iOS 5 for a more complete and detailed coverage. iOS 5 will be compatible with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2 and 3rd and 4th gen iPod Touch. Just to remind you guys, while jailbreakme is compatible with all iDevices (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad), it only works with iOS 4.0.1/iOS 3.2.1 and older firmware. This can’t jailbreak iOS 4.0.2 and iOS 3.2.2 since this new iPhone/iPad firmware plugs the exploit used by this particular iPhone jailbreak. This also isn’t compatible with beta versions of iOS 4.1.
