Apple has just announced the newest version of the iPad Air (2022). While not much has been improved from the design of the old iPad Air 2020, the new iPad Air now comes with an Apple M1 chip (the same ones used in the Macs) and 5G connectivity. The M1 chip on the new iPad Air has an 8-core CPU that's up to 60% faster than the A14 Bionic processor of the previous iPad Air. The iPad Air is priced at $599 (64GB WiFi model) and $749 (256GB WiFi model). Apple has introduced the new iPad Air powered by the M4 chip, offering faster performance, more memory, and improved connectivity while keeping the same starting price of ₱42,990 for the 11-inch model and ₱54,990 for the 13-inch model. The new iPad Air comes in two sizes, 11-inch and 13-inch, and supports features in iPadOS 26. For connectivity, the iPad Air uses Apple’s new N1 wireless chip with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread support. Apple said the new iPad Air uses 30 percent recycled materials and supports its goal to become carbon neutral by 2030.
