Apple has announced iPhone Pocket which is a new limited-edition accessory created in collaboration with Japanese fashion brand ISSEY MIYAKE. Inspired by the concept of "a piece of cloth", the iPhone Pocket features a 3D-knitted design that stretches to fit any iPhone and other small items. The accessory is created in Japan based on ISSEY MIYAKE’s signature pleated textile, making a pocket that can be carried by hand, tied onto a bag, or worn directly on the body. The iPhone Pocket will launch on November 14 at select Apple Store locations and on apple.com across markets in France, Greater China, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the UK, and the U.S. After over two weeks of using the iPhone 3G, I can fairly say I have become familiar with this mobile device to share some insights on how it fares as a primary mobile phone. In a way, I regard the iPhone 3G primarily as an internet device and media player that has the cute feature allowing you to make calls and send SMS. That being said, if you are a heavy SMS user, then the iPhone is not for you. However, if you are open to trying out a new interface, I'm sure you'll enjoy the intuitive touch screen of the iPhone.
