Following the iPhone XS Max becoming vintage six months ago, Apple today has now marked the iPhone XS as a vintage product, too. The iPhone XS was launched in September 2018 alongside the iPhone XS Max and was pulled from Apple’s main lineup in 2019. Both phones were incremental updates to the original iPhone X, offering a faster A12 Bionic chip, slightly better cameras, and dual SIM support. The XS Max stood out mainly for its bigger 6.5-inch display. In two more years, the iPhone XS will be considered obsolete, meaning Apple will no longer provide service or repairs for it, even if parts are available. Aside from the iPhone XS update, Apple also moved the 5th-generation iPad (2017) to its obsolete list. Apple today has updated its vintage and obsolete product lists and added two older iPhone models and a couple of Watch Series 2 models. The iPhone 6S Plus along with the iPhone XS Max are now officially ‘vintage’ worldwide.
