Jollibee has issued a statement addressing the viral raffle controversy after its Burger Blowout promo faced backlash on August 15. The former noted that they did this by submitting multiple unauthorized entries during Week 3 of the raffle. Jollibee said it has worked with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to find a solution. The regulators approved Jollibee’s request to suspend the succeeding draws. To prevent similar issues, Jollibee has strengthened its verification and validation process in compliance with DTI’s directives. ‘We will be temporarily postponing succeeding raffle draws.
