LTO temporary suspends the issuance of student-driver permits from July 1, 2020 to August 3, 2020, following the Memorandum Circular 2019-2176 issued December last year. As stated by LTO Chief Edgar Galvante on his live interview on DZMM Teleradyo, student-driver permit applicants will now be required to take a 15-hour theoretical driving course. LTO is currently working with driving schools to set-up facilities where prospective student drivers may enroll for the said course.
