#MediaTek Dimensity 820 features

MediaTek introduces a new 5G-capable processor for upper mid-range smartphones, the Dimensity 820 chip. The Dimensity 820 combines advancements in artificial intelligence, multimedia, and imaging. It features MediaTek's HyperEngine 2.0 technology, supports 120 Hz displays, and MediaTek MiraVision for video streaming. As a fully-fledged 5G processor, the Dimensity 820 comes with Carrier Aggregation (CA) technology for seamless handover between two 5G connection areas. The Dimensity 820 also supports dual SIM, dual standby for 5G connectivity, Voice over New Radio (VoNR) services, and is designed for locations with sub-6GHz 5G networks in North America, Asia, and Europe. MediaTek has introduced the Dimensity 7500, its latest smartphone chipset designed for mainstream devices and the successor to the Dimensity 7400. Built using a 4nm process, the Dimensity 7500 is the first MediaTek chipset to use Arm’s new C1 CPU cores. MediaTek said the new NPU delivers more than twice the AI processing performance compared to the previous generation and supports features such as speech recognition, smart replies, and notification summaries without depending entirely on cloud processing.
