Meta has just announced the launch of Split Payments on Messenger to everyone in the US. The company has also announced new features coming to Messenger such as increased voice recording and vanishing messages. Friends who are new to payments in Messenger can easily add payment details to send and receive money. Meta is also launching new voice message recording controls so users can pause, preview, delete, or continue recording a voice message before sending. Meta is rolling out an update to Messenger, specifically to end-to-end encrypted chats. Rolling testing end-to-end Encrypted Group Chats and Calls in Messenger is now available to everyone. We hope these features elevate your private messaging experience as we continue to improve your encrypted conversations with friends and family.” says Meta. In end-to-end encrypted chats, users can now reply to specific messages much like regular Messenger chat.
