Another new feature is screenshot notifications. Now users will be able to see if a person they are talking with takes a screenshot of a disappearing message.

“We know the importance of safety and privacy when it comes to communicating with the people who matter most to you. End-to-end encryption protects you and your data from hackers, criminals and other prying eyes. We hope these features elevate your private messaging experience as we continue to improve your encrypted conversations with friends and family.” says Meta.

GIFs and Stickers are also now available via encrypted chats as well as reactions. In end-to-end encrypted chats, users can now reply to specific messages much like regular Messenger chat. Verified badges are also now available in encrypted chats so that users can identify authentic accounts. Lastly, users can save and edit photos and videos from encrypted chats as well.
