The first tunnel boring machine (TBM) that will be used in the construction of the Metro Manila Subway is going to be delivered by August this year, which is four months ahead of schedule. Quirino Highway-Mindanao Avenue Station, Tandang Sora Station, and North Avenue Station are the first three stations of the Metro Manila Subway. A total of 15 stations, beginning from Quirino Highway to NAIA Terminal 3 and FTI in Taguig, will make up the Metro Manila Subway. Japanese consortium, OC Global, has secured the contract to build the PHP 11 billion Metro Manila Subway project. The Metro Manila subway has 14 stations, stretching 30 kilometers from Mindanao Ave., Quezon City to NAIA, Parañaque City The subway system is expected to be completed in 2025.
