#Microsoft Defender app

Not to be confused with Windows Defender / Windows Security, the new Microsoft Defender app is made available as part of the Microsoft 365 service and is aimed at being a hub to help you manage and monitor your security status across your devices. According to Microsoft, the new Microsoft Defender app helps individuals manage and view security protections from a single easy-to-use, centralized dashboard by linking to your Microsoft account across your devices. Depending on the operating system, Microsoft Defender will have some variations. On Windows and macOS, Microsoft Defender works alongside other antivirus software such as Norton or McAfee while providing web protection.
