vivo has officially announced its first mixed reality (MR) headset, the Vision Explorer Edition, during its 30th anniversary event in Dongguan, China. The "mixed reality" ecosystem is growing as three new manufacturers have joined. Microsoft has just revealed mixed reality headsets from ASUS, Dell, and Lenovo. vivo just went big for its 30th anniversary, not with another smartphone, but with something totally new: the vivo Vision Discovery Edition, the brand’s first-ever mixed reality headset. vivo has announced plans to unveil a mixed reality (MR) headset next year, aiming to challenge Apple’s Vision Pro. This is not aligned with the prediction of the supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo whose prediction says that the mixed-reality headset will only have one processor, with a touch of the M1 chip and other lower-end processors dedicated to handling data from the sensor of the headset.
