Nikon has announced two new digital SLR cameras - the FX-format flagship D5 and the DX-format D500. First up is the Nikon D5 which sports a FX-format 20.8 megapixel CMOS sensor that can shoot 4K UHD (30p) videos and high-speed continuous shooting at approximately 12 fps. The Nikon D5 is priced at $6,500 (body-only) while the D500 costs $2,000 (body-only). Nikon introduced a new entry-level dSLR, the Nikon D3100, which has the capability of recording full HD 1080p videos. The Nikon D3100 is the successor to the popular D3000 line and brings in a set of new features and upgrades. The Nikon D3100 will come with a AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR as the kit lens. The Nikon D90 is out; the Nikon D7000 is in -- this new mid-class dSLR from Nikon can do 1080p videos with a 16.2 megapixel CMOS sensor.
