Nikon’s new dSLR, the Nikon D800, packs a huge sensor 36.3 megapixel CMOS sensor and FX format making it the biggest one they’ve made so far.

Nikon D800 specs:
36.3MP CAM3500-FX sensor
1/8,000 ~ 30 seconds shutter speed
4fps FX / 5fps DX frame rates
51-point AF system
ISO100 ~ ISO6,400 expandable to 50 (LO-1) to ISO 25,600 (HI+2)
Live View
1080p @ 30fps video recording
720p @ 60fps video recording
3.2″ rear LCD
CF card & SD card storage
USB 3.0
HDMI
Built-in High Dynamic Range (HDR)

The suggested retail price — $2,999.95. The Nikon D800 will be released around late March 2012.

D800E = $3,299.95.

price is for body only.

grabe ang mahal. plus kung bibili ka pa nung monster lens na 24-70mm. boom!

It’s the D4 that is meant to go against the 1DX if you haven’t figured that out.

I’m a tad disappointed that Nikon opted to boost the MP count rather than the ISO sensitivity :/ Oh well, at least the D800 makes the D700 a much more compelling choice if you’re not interested in video.

that’s why they have D4, the more expensive sports DSLR with more ISO (less mpx). You can’t have the best of both worlds… for now
