Nikon has announced the Z6 and Z7's more affordable brother, the Nikon Z5. The Nikon Z5 features an FX-format 24.3 megapixel CMOS sensor paired with Nikon's EXPEED 6 image processor. It has an ISO range of up to 51,200, expandable up to 102,400 with a 5-axis in-camera stabilization. As for videos, the Nikon Z5 can capture 4K UHD at 30FPS or 1080p at 60FPS. It's equipped with a PDAF system, an in-camera VR image stabilization, and electronic VR to eliminate shake while shooting. The Nikon Z5 will be available starting August for a suggested retail price of USD 1,399.95, a one-lens kit with the new NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 for an SRP of USD 1,699.95, and a one-lens kit with the NIKKO Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3VR lens for an SRP of USD 2,199.95. The Nikon ZR is now official as their first cinema camera developed in partnership with RED. The model combines Nikon’s autofocus and in-body stabilization with RED’s color science and video codecs, positioning it against cameras like the Canon C50 and Sony FX3 at a lower price point.
