Nikon has announced the Z6 and Z7's more affordable brother, the Nikon Z5. The Nikon Z5 features an FX-format 24.3 megapixel CMOS sensor paired with Nikon's EXPEED 6 image processor. As for videos, the Nikon Z5 can capture 4K UHD at 30FPS or 1080p at 60FPS. The Nikon Z5 will be available starting August for a suggested retail price of USD 1,399.95, a one-lens kit with the new NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 for an SRP of USD 1,699.95, and a one-lens kit with the NIKKO Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3VR lens for an SRP of USD 2,199.95. The Japanese camera maker Nikon is planning to stop making SLR cameras in favor of mirrorless camera models which will go head to head with smartphone cameras as reported by Nikkei. Nikon is a known brand for more than 60 years because of their SLR cameras.
