The Switch has been around for almost a decade now, so Nintendo pulling the trigger on this announcement was surprising. The station is compatible with a Switch dock, charging plugs, and Nintendo’s wireless NES gamepads. Nintendo’s two-way Joy-Con charging stand is set to launch on October 17, 2024. The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) has announced the latest update to the Qi wireless charging standard with Qi2 25W (Qi v2.2.1). Notably, the WPC shared that faster charging stands as the top user-requested feature for wireless charging.
