Nvidia has released Chat with RTX, a demo app that lets users run a personal AI chatbot on their PCs. Readers should know that Nvidia isn’t making this available as a polished app that should be used already. NVIDIA has just announced a long-term strategic partnership with Jaguar Land Rover. Starting 2025, all new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles will be built on the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform which uses AI to deliver a wide spectrum of active safety, driver assistance, automated driving, and self-parking capabilities. Jaguar Land Rover will also leverage in-house developed data centre solutions with NVIDIA DGX for training AI models and DRIVE Sim software built on NVIDIA Omniverse for real-time physically accurate simulation. Thierry Bolloré, Jaguar Land Rover Chief Executive Officer, said: “Collaboration and knowledge-sharing with industry leader NVIDIA is essential to realising our Reimagine strategy, setting new benchmarks in quality, technology and sustainability. NVIDIA has announced today what it claims to be the world's most powerful GPU computing architecture designed for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, the Volta GPU platform, and its first Volta-based processor, NVIDIA Tesla V100 data center GPU. NVIDIA also announced its first Volta-based processor, the NVIDIA Tesla V100 data center GPU, boasting 640 Tensor Cores and can deliver 120 teraflops of deep learning performance.
