has emerged as the new champion of internet speed in the Philippines, sweeping the top titles at the Ookla Speedtest Awards for the second half of 2023. Smart and PLDT are the Philippines' Speedtest Awards winners for the fastest 5G mobile and fixed broadband speed during Q3–Q4 2021, according to Ookla. Ookla compared 325,396 user-initiated 5G tests taken on the Speedtest iOS and Android mobile apps from all the major mobile carriers in the Philippines during the award period to determine who showed the fastest mobile network speeds. Ookla Speedtest has released their Ookla Speedtest Awards, citing PLDT as the fastest fixed network and Smart as the fastest mobile network in the Philippines. According to Ookla Speedtest, the Speed Score incorporates a measure of each provider's download and upload speed to rank network speed performance. has won several awards at the Ookla Speedtest Awards, including “Fastest Fixed Network,” “Best Fixed Network,” and “Best Fixed Video Experience” in the Philippines. PLDT Home has been named the Philippines’ fastest broadband again, as it wins for the fifth consecutive year at the Ookla Speedtest Awards Q1-Q2.    The global benchmarking company, Ookla, announced that PLDT achieved a speed score of 77.91 and logged the fastest download and upload speeds at 210.83 Mbps and 234.21 Mbps, respectively.
