OPPO has expanded its ecosystem with the launch of the OPPO Watch S, unveiled alongside the Find X9 series in China. Measuring just 8.9mm thick and weighing only 35 grams, the Watch S is sleek yet built tough, boasting 5ATM and IP68 ratings along with military-grade durability. The smartwatch features a 1.46-inch AMOLED display capable of hitting 3000 nits peak brightness, with a crisp 317 PPI density. It runs on ColorOS Watch 7.1, offering a smooth experience with 4GB of storage and support for Alipay, WeChat Pay, and Oppo’s Fluid Cloud service. The OPPO Watch S is priced at CNY 1,499 ( PHP 12,227 ) and comes in Vibrant Green, Rhythmic Silver, and Racing Black, featuring stainless steel cases and interchangeable straps. Moreover, we feel like these companies are looking at something more as each one are confirming that they're working on something else other than a smartphone or a tablet -- specifically a smartwatch. Samsung has already confirmed that they are working on a smartwatch, while companies such as LG, Apple and Google were reported to be working on one too. This isn't the first time someone's making an intelligent wristwatch, as gadgets like the Motorola MotoACTV and the Sony Smartwatch are already available for purchase now.
