The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), in partnership with mobile-first platform Virtualness, is launching the PBA Virtualness platform, a platform designed to house the exchange of custom PBA NFT collectibles. These may range from present live in-game moments, from both the past and present, as well as other PBA merchandise. We imagine that in-game dunks and game-winners will be the most abundant version of the PBA's library of NFT collectibles, but we will have to see to be sure. For those unaware, NFTs or Non-Fungible Tokens refers to a token that cannot be replaced, divided, or merged. NFTs were created to represent ownership over digital or physical assets in a wide range of unique tangible and intangible items, from collectible Pokemon cards to virtual real estate or even paintings.
