PeekUp is a new online ride hailing app now available in the Philippines. Users can choose between three vehicle options consisting of PeekUp Taxi, PeekUp Compact (4-seater), and PeekUp Plus (6-seater). In efforts to compete with the existing ride hailing services, PeekUp grew its vehicle fleet through ease of access. Drivers can simply download the PeekUp Driver App from aforementioned stores, input personal information, validate them with IDs and government-issued forms, and proof of bank account or e-wallet to attend PeekUp’s free Driver Training Program. Existing drivers are also welcome to try PeekUp’s referral program, where they have to refer a driver and complete 25 rides within 30 days to get a referral bonus. According to PAGASA, the app was developed in response to growing smartphone usage among its users and forms part of the agency’s efforts to modernize weather and climate services in the Philippines.
