I've been using JoikuSpot for some time now and it's been one of the most useful apps on my mobile phone to date. The app basically turns your phone into a WiFi hotspot running on 3G internet. All you need to do is install JoikuSpot on your phone, run the app and select which internet connection to use (i.e. That's it -- it will then use the built-in WiFi of your phone to turn itself as an access point. I've posted another tutorial here before on how to share 3G internet of your laptop to other devices via WiFi but that requires your phone to be connected via Bluetooth or USB to your laptop. With JoikuSpot, the phone itself becomes the wireless access point. The only drawback with the software is that only Nokia models are supported (or phones running Symbian v3 OS).
