Globe's mobile payment service, GCash, has assisted the Philippine National Police (PNP) and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to arrest an online scammer on Facebook. Last Thursday, the NBI and PNP have tracked down a fake online seller with GCash. Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar has ordered the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) to coordinate with the Department of Education (DepEd) on reports of cheating allegedly done by students online. Liling Briones, kaagad kong inatasan ang aming Anti-Cybercrime Group na makipag-ugnayan sa Department of Education upang alamin kung paano makakatulong ang inyong PNP dito.” According to initial reports, there was a Facebook group wherein students from different schools share answer keys for their respective exams.
