Pokémon GO released a new update before Christmas Day hits and it's good news for Apple Watch owners. You can now explore and catch Pokémon with the help of the Apple Watch. You can also log your play sessions through the Apple Watch app as a Workout and it will reflect with your personal Activity rings, while also counting distance when hatching those Pokémon Eggs. If you have a compatible iPhone and an Apple Watch, you can check it out and give Pokémon GO another try just in case you're not playing anymore. During Apple's Keynote for the new iPhone 7 and Apple Watch series, Niantic has announced that it's bringing Pokemon GO to the Apple Watch. Niantic's aim is to blend "gameplay and imagination with getting exercise and exploring the real world around you." The Pokemon GO app will work with the Apple Watch's technology to provide features such as trackers, haptic notifications and quick taps. Since the Apple Watch is also a fitness tracker, a summary of your activities like distance traveled and items collected during gameplay will also be displayed. Niantic will release Pokemon GO to Apple watch later this year.
