Pokémon GO now available on the Apple Watch

Listen to article

Pokémon GO released a new update before Christmas Day hits and it’s good news for Apple Watch owners.

You can now explore and catch Pokémon with the help of the Apple Watch. If you think you can catch cute creatures on your wrist, that’s not how it’ll work. Instead, You can use the wearable to discover nearby Pokémon and collect items from PokéStops. If ever you encounter a Pokémon, you’ll get a notification and you’ll have to catch it from your iPhone.

You can also log your play sessions through the Apple Watch app as a Workout and it will reflect with your personal Activity rings, while also counting distance when hatching those Pokémon Eggs.

If you have a compatible iPhone and an Apple Watch, you can check it out and give Pokémon GO another try just in case you’re not playing anymore.
