Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., has announced the complete acquisition of the CPU and technology design company, NUVIA for USD 1.4 billion. "The world-class NUVIA team enhances our CPU roadmap, extending Qualcomm’s leading technology position with the Windows, Android, and Chrome ecosystems," said Cristiano Amon, President and CEO-Elect of Qualcomm Incorporated. The company also states that the first Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms to feature Qualcomm Technologies’ new internally designed CPUs are expected to test in the second half of 2022. Together, we will create a new class of high-performance computing platforms that set the bar for the industry," said Gerard Williams former CEO of NUVIA. Gerard Williams is now the SVP of Engineering at Qualcomm Technologies. Qualcomm has released a development smartphone and tablet that touts the latest Snapdragon 810 processor.
