We featured the Qube QTouch Windows tablet back in July and borrowed a review unit which arrived last week. The install on the Qube QTouch was much easier and faster (did not bump into any problems) via an external DVD drive attached via the USB port. Seems like Windows 8 for tablets require a minimum of 1024x768 pixels while the QTouch is only 1024×600. The Qube QTouch retails for Php19,999 for the WiFi-only version and Php24,999 for the 3G+WiFi model. Local PC retailer Qube is accepting pre-orders of what could be a 10-inch Windows 7 tablet they call QTouch. The Qube QTouch is one of the very few Windows-based tablet available locally and Qube claims you can install Android OS in it. As for the price, the QTouch starts at a base price of Php19,999 for the WiFi-only and without the Windows 7 OS then goes up to Php24,999 if you want a WiFi+3G model and Windows 7 pre-installed.
