Commuters on the LRT-2 can now pay their fares using contactless payment methods after RCBC, in partnership with Visa, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), and the Department of Transportation (DOTr), officially activated tap-to-pay at station turnstiles. To mark the launch, RCBC introduced the PISO Fare Cashback Promo, which runs until July 31. The promo is available to RCBC Visa and Mastercard credit cardholders, who can receive up to ₱300 in cashback during the promo period. Meanwhile, holders of the MySSS Card powered by RCBC DiskarTech can enjoy up to eight LRT-2 rides per day under the offer. Prior to GCash's announcement, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) also confirmed that it would waive InstaPay transfer fees beginning July 4. RCBC Digital will be shutting down and no longer be available to use on June 30, 2024. RCBC will no longer have RCBC Digital be available for download and use soon. Existing users may switch to the bank's upgraded version of their app: RCBC Pulz.
