RCBC launches Ask RC, a Messenger chatbot for banking
RCBC has announced the launch of the first bank-based chatbot in the Philippines – Ask RC.
RCBC’s Ask RC is a chatbot that can be accessed through Facebook’s Messenger service. It can converse and reply to both account holders and non-account holders on topics ranging from branch and ATM locations, loan facilities, latest promos, and today’s FOREX and NAVPU rates.
Users don’t need to log-in to the official RCBC Facebook Page. Just look for @AskRC on Messenger and start the conversation in order to make inquiries on the bank’s basic information. RCBC says that the chatbot will soon be ready to handle other bank services, such as balance inquiries, bill payments and other more complicated bank transactions.
“We hope that the introduction of Ask RC will grant Filipinos a more convenient way of interacting with RCBC. Ask RC will allow users to inquire about bank information in real time, any time of the day or night, wherever they are,” said Margarita Lopez, First Senior Vice President, Group Head for Digital Banking and Operations.
