Globe and Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) have now signed a Memorandum of Agreement to help protect customers from online fraud.
Their partnership allows both parties to have direct and round-the-clock communication channels for reporting any fraudulent activities such as identity theft, phishing, and SMS spam for blocking, and investigation.

Globe has blocked roughly 85 million bank-related spam and scam messages in 2022. Moreover, they have spent USD 20 million in improving their fraudulent SMS detection and blocking system.
They also launched various initiatives to help stop fraudulent scams such as the #StopSPAM portal where users may report any suspected messages.
“Our collaboration with RCBC will enable us to take proactive measures to prevent spam and scams from occurring and strengthen our capabilities to investigate and respond to such incidents. Our commitment to fighting fraud remains strong, and we will continue to work with other institutions and stakeholders to protect our customers from fraudulent activities,” — Irish Salandanan-Almeida, Globe Chief Privacy Officer
