After the success of the remake of Resident Evil 2, Capcom will be releasing the remake of the third installment of the survival horror classic. and the protagonist from Resident Evil's first installment, who's attempting to flee Raccoon City after a T-virus outbreak has spread. The remake of Resident Evil 3 was designed using the same RE engine used in the remake of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 7 biohazard, and Devil May Cry 5 to give its characters more lifelike movements. Resident Evil 3 will also include Resident Evil Resistance, a four vs. one co-op game where players will be able to take the role of a Mastermind like Annette Birkin from Resident Evil 2. Nintendo, in partnership with Capcom, has announced at E3 2019 that two more Resident Evil game titles, Resident Evil 5 and 6, will be joining the roster for the Nintendo Switch port this year. Resident Evil 5 follows boulder-punching Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar as they fight through a zombie-infested city in Africa where they are tasked to stop bio-organic weapons (BOW) being sold in the black market there.
