AMD has officially announced new Ryzen mobile processing chips made for ultrathin laptops, touting the 'world's fastest processor' for that category. Previously codenamed "Raven Ridge", the new Ryzen mobile chips feature 15-watt TDP along with a four-core, eight-thread architecture. A month after the announcement of the Ryzen 7 desktop processors, AMD has announced their newest series of processors designed for gamers and creators - the Ryzen 5. The Ryzen 5 series aims to challenge Intel's Core i5 processors. According to AMD, the Ryzen 5 1600X beats the Intel Core i5 7600K by 69% in CPU performance testing using Cinebench R15 nT.
