Safari in iOS 27 is getting smarter in ways that actually matter for daily browsing. Safari now uses Apple Intelligence to group your open tabs by topic automatically. You tell Safari what you are waiting for on a page in plain language. Safari monitors the page in the background. Describe and Extension lets you create a custom Safari extension just by describing what you want. Apple also notes that Safari does not share your browsing data with anyone, not even Apple, when using AI features. Last year, Apple launched a Safari campaign with the tagline: “Your browsing is being watched.” In the campaign’s featured video titled “Flock,” Apple used animated surveillance drones and winged security cameras to depict what it claimed was the data-tracking behavior of other browsers, namely Google Chrome. The ad strongly implied that Safari offered better privacy and control.
