Samsung is planning on making the "smart" home fantasy a reality as they make a big push to improve their IoT (Internet of Things) services. During today's Samsung Developer conference, the company, aside from revealing Bixby 2.0, also announced that they are merging all of their IoT services namely SmartThings, Samsung Connect, and ARTIK under one platform -- SmartThings Cloud. Not only that but the platform will be an open ecosystem, which means it will support both Samsung and third-party devices. Samsung promises that as early as next year, consumers will be able to choose from a broad range of IoT devices and control them by using only a single app. The much awaited Omnia i900 from Samsung (see specs here) was released in the Philippines yesterday. While everybody is getting frustrated with the supposed Globe iPhone 3G pricing, the Samsung Omnia will definitely be a formidable alternative to the former. The rumored new Samsung i8510 that tows in an 8-megapixel camera and a 16GB internal storage becomes official. This new Samsung i8510 phone will be named Innovate or Innov8.
