Samsung launches its first Windows Phone 8 device, the Ativ S, along with other Windows 8 products. The Samsung Ativ S is tailored for business-oriented people who also like to work and play at the same time. The Ativ S is Samsung's reply to HTC and Nokia's Windows Phone 8 devices. The Ativ S has a lot of similarities with the Galaxy S III, mainly because it's the Windows Phone counterpart of the Android powered device. Not only did Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 2 in IFA, they also beat Nokia to unveiling the first Windows Phone 8 handset -- the Samsung ATIV S. Samsung's announcement of the Ativ S WP8 is breaking a lot of records for a Windows Phone handset. The Ativ S will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 processor (Krait) at 1.5GHz dual-core with 1GB RAM. The much awaited Omnia i900 from Samsung (see specs here) was released in the Philippines yesterday.
