Almost two month after MediaTek announced the world’s first “True Octa-core” processor, and lambasted the Samsung’s chip in the process, the South Korean firm is back with a vengeance which comes in the form of the revamped Exynos 5 with HMP technology. According to Samsung, the new and improved Exynos 5 Octa Soc is set to makes its debut on the last quarter of this year. Samsung took to Twitter to inform the public that it will soon release a new and better Exynos 5 Octa processor. According to @SamsungExynos, the company's new Exynos 5 Octa CPU is enhanced and more powerful than the current Exynos 5 Octa. Samsung didn't disclose any technical info but they're already tagging it as the Exynos Evolution and is slated to come out next week. The current Exynos 5 Octa powers the I9500 mdoel of the Galaxy S4. It is rumored that the enhanced Exynos 5 Octa could also be the engine behind the upcoming Galaxy Note III and not just Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800. If rumors about both CPUs are correct, then we might also see two variants of the Galaxy Note III, one with the new Exynos 5 Octa and one with the Snapdragon 800.
