Samsung quietly released two new mid-range handsets from its Galaxy line. Both the Galaxy E5 and the Galaxy E7 are now available in stores with a suggested retail price of Php12,990 and Php15,990, respectively. Announced on the first week of January 2015, the Galaxy E5 and E7 compliments the Galaxy A series in the mid-range price point. Announced on the first week of January 2015, the Samsung Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 will be released in the Philippines sometime end of February or first week of March. We had a short hands-on time with the E5 and E7 at the Samsung SEA Forum here in Bangkok last week. The Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 are supposed to be a more affordable alternative to the premium-built Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7. With that, Samsung is using the usual polycarbonate materials on the Galaxy E5/E7. The Galaxy E series seems to be replacing the old Galaxy Grand series which features larger display screens and decent, entry-level hardware configuration.
