Samsung's new Health Monitoring app that can measure the user's blood pressure has been launched in South Korea. Compatible with Galaxy Watch Active2 and succeeding smartwatches, users may sync the Samsung Health Monitor app and track their blood pressure anytime, anywhere, through pulse wave analysis. What this means, is that the Samsung Health Monitor paired with the sensors on the Galaxy Watch Active2 is now considered as an official over-the-counter and cuffless blood pressure monitoring tool. After calibrating the Galaxy Watch Active2 with a traditional cuff, users can tap to measure their blood pressure.  Unlike other devices, the Galaxy Watch Active2 uses pulse wave analysis racked with the heart rate monitoring sensors. The Samsung Health Monitor app will be available on the Galaxy Watch Active2 in the third quarter and will support upcoming Galaxy Watch devices. ASUS has announced the VivoWatch 6 Plus at Computex 2026, introducing new health monitoring features focused on blood pressure, ECG tracking, and wellness monitoring. The smartwatch retains ASUS’ existing blood pressure and ECG monitoring capabilities while adding new features such as sleep breathing movement tracking and gait analysis.
