Samsung has officially released in the Philippines their latest smartwatch, sporting a 1.2-inch Circular Super AMOLED display and Corning Gorilla Glass DX+, the Samsung Galaxy Watch. Looks like the rumors we got wind of a few weeks back about Samsung's newest smartwatch were true. The brand launched the Galaxy Watch alongside their next generation note, the Galaxy Note9. The Galaxy Watch will come with different customizable watch faces, backgrounds, and straps. Samsung announced that a joint study with Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital in Korea found that the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 can predict vasovagal syncope (VVS) or sudden fainting episodes using health data collected by the smartwatch. Researchers used the Galaxy Watch6’s PPG sensor to monitor heart rate variability data and analyzed it using an AI algorithm. Samsung’s latest Galaxy flagship lineup leans into that idea.
