A Samsung representative has indicated that the Gear VR will be sold with a price tag of just $199. However, bear in mind that the Samsung Gear VR will be using the Galaxy Note 4 as the HUD so that entails another $799 (~Php35,000) to build the whole set. We're expecting the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to arrive in the Philippines sometime late October but we're not sure if the Gear VR will tag along with it. The much awaited Omnia i900 from Samsung (see specs here) was released in the Philippines yesterday.
