A Samsung representative has indicated that the Gear VR will be sold with a price tag of just $199.
That’s pretty affordable when compared to the Oculus Rift which is pegged at about $399.

However, bear in mind that the Samsung Gear VR will be using the Galaxy Note 4 as the HUD so that entails another $799 (~Php35,000) to build the whole set.
We’re expecting the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to arrive in the Philippines sometime late October but we’re not sure if the Gear VR will tag along with it.
