Yesterday, during a media briefing for Norton/Symantec, I was chatting with several tech journalists about the flurry of high-caliber phones that came out this 3rd quarter when I spotted the recently released 8-megapixel Samsung Innov8. The rumored new Samsung i8510 that tows in an 8-megapixel camera and a 16GB internal storage becomes official. This new Samsung i8510 phone will be named Innovate or Innov8. I reckon that the Samsung i8510 is positioned against the Nokia N95 while the Omnia is targetted as an iPhone alternative. The much awaited Omnia i900 from Samsung (see specs here) was released in the Philippines yesterday. While everybody is getting frustrated with the supposed Globe iPhone 3G pricing, the Samsung Omnia will definitely be a formidable alternative to the former. LCD monitors from Samsung are getting better and better. I thought the dual 19" 940BW at home is already a great set up until I got hold of the new 22" Samsung 2232GW LCD monitor.
