Samsung has already talked about its upcoming Exynos 2500 chip before. After all, if the brand has taken this much time and care into producing a processor that beats out its brilliant predecessor, the Exynos 2400 in the Galaxy S24 line, then why not place it in a top-shelf device? Samsung has announced their new in-house mobile processor for smartphones, the Exynos 2200. The Exynos 2200 comes with new ARM-based CPU cores, an upgraded neural processing unit, and the aforementioned AMD GPU that is based on Samsung Xclipse. The Xclipse GPU is a graphic processor that is positioned between a console and a mobile graphics processor. Samsung’s Xclipse GPU is the first result of multiple planned generations of AMD RDNA graphics in Exynos SoCs,” said David Wang, Senior Vice President of Radeon Technologies Group at AMD. The Exynos 2200’s image signal processor architecture has been redesigned to support the latest image sensors for ultra-high resolution of up to 200 megapixels.
