Saw this newspaper ad yesterday in my hotel room in Singapore. It's a switch-over promo by M1, one of the telcos in SG, which offers up to 1,000Mbps fiber internet to the home. M1 (formerly Mobile One) is the 3rd and smallest ISP in Singapore. Amazon may launch its satellite internet service, called Project Kuiper (also known as Amazon LEO), in the Philippines as early as this year, according to Henry Aguda. Project Kuiper uses low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites to provide internet access, especially in areas with limited or no connection. If launched, it could give Filipinos another option for faster and more reliable internet, especially in remote locations. Amazon has been working on Project Kuiper as part of its plan to expand internet access worldwide. Like Starlink, the service aims to use a network of satellites to deliver internet directly to users on the ground.
