A link will be generated for you to share with other participants of the call. Background blur is now available on desktops and laptops with the latest Skype update. Microsoft's well-known and well-used video call and chat application, Skype, just received an update today. The company just rolled out version 8.0 for Skype desktop, which will replace Skype 7.0, also known as Skype Classic.
