San Miguel Corporation (SMC) will start charging toll fees on Skyway 3 starting July 12. The company has announced that it will charge lower toll fees than the originally proposed fees. These toll rates reflect our deferral of the collection of a substantial amount of the cost to build Skyway 3. With the start of toll collection, the government can now generate income from the expressway with a 12 % VAT on all toll fees. NLEX Corporation has revealed new toll fees starting May 18, 2021. The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has announced its approval of the provisional rates proposed by San Miguel Corporation (SMC) for the Skyway Stage 3. SMC, however, will not yet start collecting toll fees until TRB gives it a go signal to do so. TRB noted that the approval of provisional rates does not mean that Skyway 3 will immediately begin collecting toll fees from motorists as it would be a separate process.
